Eten Glofiish M800 FCC reports and users manual available for download

FCC has approved Glofiish M800 so it should be available soon in the US market. As you an see on the pics E-ten did not change the headset, it's still the old and ugly one, but I do hope that the final version will have something more decent. John Chan from Cnet Asia has got the official specs for M800. It will have 64MB Ram and 256 MB Rom. And it also will have touch sensitive buttons under the display.

Just found another picture of Glofiish X600, published in russian form on Sept 26th, it looks like X600, what do you think?




According to the source, it's codenamed "Killer", but not for the features: it's mission to kill competition with the price tag.

Our readers have sent us links to 2 russian websites with more pictures of M800, so it seems that this model is real, these pics don't look like they've been photoshoped so we have to admit that Eten Glofiish M800 exists! And now, best pics we could find:

E-ten Glofiish M800 pictures are fake!

As we have reported in our previous post, a dutch website has published pics and specs of upcoming E-ten Glofiish M800, but after looking carefully at the picture you will see that it is an exact copy of X500 with added camera on top and a joystick. It looks like our dutch friends joked the world and the world has picked it up. There are already over 200 links to the post including well known websites like msmobiles.com and engadet.com.

UPDATE: We got more pics of M800 now and these look real!

Eten Glofiish X800 specs confirmed

A newsletter just came in from Eten with detailed info about forthcoming X800 confirming technical details and giving a preview of the included software. X800 will have 500mHz processor!

Biggest surprise for me in the software part is the inclusion of SPB Mobile Shell, a great piece of software, what I do use on my X500 also.

But, one very important information is missing from the newsletter: X800 release date! We still have no idea, some online retailers listed X800 in stock on October 19th, if you know of an earlier date, please send me a note!
